The UltraBattery storage system will be powered by Ecoult’s UltraBattery technology and will have a capacity to power the entire island for about 45 minutes.
The facility would deliver enough renewable energy enough to power 65% of the island’s annual needs, retaining the grid stability, reducing 95% of the CO2 emissions annually through the use of sustainable energy sources which also includes bio-diesel.
This storage system will be an add-on to other elements of the KIREIP, while the system is expected to reduce the usage of diesel fuel for the island’s energy needs.
