ECOtality’s EV Micro-Climate planning process has been used to select locations for installation of public charging stations.
ECOtality plans to install 1,000 Level 2 public and commercial charging stations in the San Diego metropolitan area this year, as well as 30 publicly available Blink DC Fast Chargers.
The company is also working with other EV project stakeholders, including San Diego Gas & Electric, to select site locations for charging stations.
Currently, the company is in talks with many public and private property owners for installations of public charging stations and has partnered with retailers including Sears, Fred Meyer, Macy’s, BP/Arco and Best Buy.
ECOtality has installed 1,400 Blink Level 2 residential chargers since the commencement of its EV project last year.
