The company is also conducting pre-tender evaluation of drilling contractors for the on-shore drilling programme.

Alan Morrison, president and CEO of Ecosse Energy, said: “Ongoing geological and geophysical work by the company in Canada and Indonesia has confirmed two new onshore prospects that will increase our drilling programme from three to five onshore wells for 2010.

“We are curently also evaluating our associated offshore acreage to firm up our drilling prospects for a future offshore driling campaign. Both onshore and offshore resources are being independently evaluated and updated 51-101 reports will be filed shortly.”
