Ecoplexus announced a 25 MW DC portfolio of projects across California.

The projects are a combination of carport and ground-mounted installations, connecting behind-the-meter at a number of state facilities.

The generating systems will provide clean energy to power the facilities, offset greenhouse gas emissions and reduce energy costs.

The portfolio will provide approximately 30.5 gigawatt-hours of clean electricity annually.

That is enough to annually power almost 2,000 households, or offset roughly 21,000 metric tons of Carbon Dioxide.

The first 7 MW will be completed in August 2015, while the remaining projects are scheduled to complete construction in the spring of 2017.

The onsite facilities include state hospitals, military bases and a variety of other facilities.

Ecoplexus CEO John Gorman said: "We are pleased to play a role in satisfying California’s growing demand for clean energy.

"California has set a great example for other states to follow, and we are eager to support its efforts going forward."
