Eco Ventures Group said the company has become a voting member of the National Biodiesel Board.

Located on the company’s 22,000sq ft facility in Groveland, the biodiesel plant will produce ASTM quality biodiesel using a variety of feedstock material.

The company’s partner in the energy project, Raptor Technology Group, had previously announced the signing of the $1.6m contract.

constructed by Raptor, the plant uses a modular production system that is enhanced by its closed loop, waterless technology and advanced remote monitoring capabilities.

Eco Ventures Group CEO Randall Lanham said this is the first phase of the company’s biodiesel production plan and it anticipate commissioning of the plant by the end of 2011.
