The EBRD and IFC are lending €57.4m ($83.3m) each to Cernavoda Power which will construct and operate the wind farms.
EBRD said that the Cernavoda wind farms, located in the Dobrogea region of Romania, will together comprise one of the largest wind farms in the country.
Cernavoda I with 69MW is already in operation, while Cernavoda II with another 69MW is currently being commissioned.
EDPR CEO Ana Maria Fernandes said the company is pleased with the agreement and aims to develop the relationship with its partners and to continue to provide safe and clean renewable energy to Romania.
