The XC programmable logic controllers (PLCs), which are already available in Europe, provide fast, cost-efficient control for renewables, and heating, ventilating and air conditioning applications.
The XC modular PLCs include XC100 and XC200 devices. The XC100 controllers could provide powerful control with an integrated CANopen fieldbus interface for efficient communication.
The XC200 controllers come with an Ethernet interface and an optional integral web server, in addition to CANopen fieldbus connections and RS232 interface.
Eaton product manager Richard Chung noted that using the XC modular controllers, customers could create custom automation systems.
"Through CoDeSys development software, an open programming environment, customers are able to develop best-in-class solutions," Chung added.
