Brazilian contractor Impsa has started up the fourth unit at the Manso hydro plant in Mato Grosso four months early.
The commercial start up of the unit, which completes the equipment for the station, was set for 30 September 2001. Under pressure to complete the work early because of the mounting power crisis in the country, Impsa was able to bring commercial operation forward to 25 May
