The UK’s Environment Agency (EA) has purchased an enterprise licence of TUFLOW flood and coastal inundation modelling software along with the ISIS-TUFLOW link module through Halcrow. As part of the software package, ISIS 2D modelling software will also be provided to the Environment Agency.

The purchase is one of the actions that the Environment Agency is undertaking under their new Flood and Coastal Risk Management Modelling Strategy. The Strategy is driving improvements in the understanding of flood and coastal risk thus enabling flood risk to be better communicated and managed. This significant improvement in the standard software available to Environment Agency staff will provide easy access to both 2D models and also to run linked 1D-2D models (either ISIS to TUFLOW or ISIS to ISIS 2D).

Halcrow is the UK-based agent for Australian software TUFLOW. More information about ISIS and TUFLOW software can be found at www.halcrow.com/software.
