E.ON's Czech operation has taken a 66% share in Teplarna Otrokovice for an undisclosed sum, local reports say.

Czech Coal retains the remaining 34% of the business, the news agency CTK reports. The two sides say that the deal marks a strengthening of their cooperation in the Czech market.

Teplarna Otrokovice is the largest heating plant in the Zlinsky area, according to the report, and it has an electrical output of some 52MW.

The deal was given the green light by the Czech competition authorities.
