US based DTE Energy has selected the SPX Service Solutions business unit as the provider of turnkey electric vehicle (EV) home charging installation services for residential customers under the utility's electric vehicle rate program.
Under the pilot program offered by the utility, SPX will provide home charging installation services for up to 2,500 DTE Energy electric customers with a one-stop solution to select and install the proper equipment to charge their plug-in EV.
DTE Energy will provide charging stations and $2,500 in funding towards installation, through which customers can charge EVs at lower rates, under the program.
SPX EV team will manage all aspects of home charging, including home surveys, 240V charging stations that reduce the time required to charge electric vehicles, installations, permitting, inspections, coordination with the utility, and post installation services.
