The well, which is the first of three planned wells within the Nesbitt prospect unit, will be drilled vertically to a depth of approximately 7,000ft, followed by a horizontal section of up to 3,000ft.
Drilling and initial testing of the well is expected to take approximately 30 days, Nostra Terra said.
Nostra Terra holds a 3% working interest in the Nesbitt prospect unit, which is operated by New Century Exploration.
