The well is now targeting the Basal Oil Sandstone, and secondary objectives include the Arbuckle formation.
Breitling-Butterwash #1 is a shallow 3,500ft test well located on the hanging-wall of the prolific Paul’s Valley Uplift.
Breitling Oil and Gas CEO Chris Faulkner said the company has good seismic across the area and it can make a good well in this prolific producing area.
"We should have good structure and trap integrity based on our mapping and sub-surface well control," Faulkner said.
