The first turbine at the 340MW Dong Nai 4 hydroelectric project in Vietnam’s Lam Dong province has begun generating electricity in a bid to help ensure power stability in the upcoming dry season.

Vietnam News Service reported that the turbine had successfully passed a trial run earlier this month. Project owner Electricity of Viet Nam (EVN) is currently installing the rotor on the second turbine and this is expected to come into service shortly
