Dong Energy has decided to sell its onshore wind energy business in Poland to two Polish utilities.

The Danish energy company has signed agreements with PGE and Energa to sell its business for a total of PLN1 billion (DKK1.8 billion).

PGE and Energa will acquire separate parts of the business, which has a leading position in the development and operation of onshore wind energy projects in Poland.

The sale is part of Dong’s strategy to dispose of assets with a combined value of DKK10 billion over the next two years to help fund other activities.

Dong’s onshore wind energy business in Poland includes three operational wind farms with a total installed capacity of 111 MW and a development portfolio of 700 MW.
