The new gas plant located along the Ohio River in Natrium, Marshall County, Virginia, will have a processing capacity of 200 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.
Chicago Bridge & Iron, the contractor of the project and the Dominion Resources have been sharply denounced for not hiring enough local skill for the Natrium gas plant.
Dominion spokesman Charles Penn was quoted by The Intelligencer as saying that the company has employed 299 local workers of 903 currently working on the project.
"In terms of completion, we are still working toward our December in-service date," Penn added.
The company has plans to bring the new gas plant online the same time it is wrapping up a nuclear plant in Wisconsin, U, based on economic calculations.
