This agreement with one of Europe's leading offshore wind farm developers and operators was concluded for a period of four years.

Subsequent to the successful cooperation during the deployment phase for the Sandbank project, DOC has now also been able to convince for the subsea power cables project package. DOC will support the installation, the marine coordination and the offshore construction at management level. Another part of the contractual scope is the support for a smooth running installation management of Vattenfall Offshore Wind projects.

DOC, as a reliable and experienced partner, will also provide services to Vattenfall in such areas as project documentation, quality standards of project implementation and vessel management, specifically cable laying vessels. In particular, the interface management between the different offshore wind project packages is a core competency of DOC.

Since its founding in 2009, DOC was and still is involved in a large number of all offshore wind projects in the German North and Baltic Sea as well as in European projects. DOC is based in Bremen and Bremerhaven. In addition to a competent offshore interface management and project coordination (inner array and export cables, OWEA and foundation installation and installation logistics) DOC offers a great treasure of experience in the construction support of offshore wind farms.

"DOC is proud to be able to support Vattenfall in the implementation of subsea power cable installations in future offshore wind farms. We are convinced that our team of offshore experts has the required know-how for these tasks and our long-standing experience can be contributed target-aimed", said Oliver Spalthoff, Managing Director of DOC, about the framework agreement with Vattenfall.

Vattenfall currently operates around 1,100 wind turbines on and offshore with an installed capacity of more than 2,500 MW. The division “Wind” of Vattenfall operates in six European countries. Until 2020, Vattenfall plans to expand its wind capacity on land and at sea to 4,000 MW. Therefore the company invests 5.5 billion euros in the period 2016 – 2020.
