The total is 162km, with 67.3% of the project completed so far in different parts of Dubai, at a total cost of AED210m ($57.17m).
“The main objective of the project is to develop water distribution networks in Al Khawaneej 2, TechnoPark, and other new areas in Dubai, to improve operational efficiencies and increase the flow of water to meet the rapid growth in water in various parts of Dubai,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
"The project includes 450- and 100-millimetre-diameter extensions of GRE (Glass-Reinforced Epoxy) main water pipelines to provide continuous and stable water supplies that are reliable, efficient, and always available, to achieve the happiness of customers and stakeholders,” said Al Tayer.
"The implementation of the project is going according to plan, and is expected to be complete by the end of 2017,” concluded Al Tayer
