In this newly created executive position, Mr Whitsitt will be responsible for the governmental relations, public relations and communications efforts for the company.
Mr Whitsitt has been engaged in consulting practice in Washington DC, since 1997, providing public affairs and policy advice; as well as representing a broad range of clients on management, public and governmental affairs.
Mr Whitsitt is the president of the American Exploration & Production Council, a trade association representing independent oil and gas producers in the US.
