Development Bank of Japan along with five other regional banks is set to provide a loan worth JPY18bn ($191m) for a 15MW wind farm in western Japan.

The loan will be utilized in the expansion of the wind power project by adding 80MW capacity, reports the Bloomberg.

This wind power project, located in the Mie prefecture, is operated by Aoyama- Kogen Wind Farm.

C-Tech, a clean energy and telecommunications unit of Chubu Electric Power, holds 95.8% stake in Aoyama-Kogen.

In addition, the Development Bank of Japan and Bank of Saga have provided a JPY3bn ($31.8m) for a 12MW solar power plant in the country, which is expected to become operational by the end of June 2013.
