Det norske is the drilling operator on the Eitri prospect, and subsequent to the completion of the operation will acquire a 25% interest in the license. ExxonMobil is the operator of the license.
The Eitri prospect will be drilled immediately after work on the Freke prospect, which is located in production license (PL) 029B, with the estimated spud date set for mid-December 2008. Both locations will be drilled by the Bredford Dolphin rig.
The Norwegian company also said that drilling on the Fulla prospect in PL362 is expected to commence in late October 2008. Det norske holds a 15% interest in the license, which is operated by StatoilHydro.
