The proposed $25.2m request will result in a 5.6% increase on a typical Maryland residential customer’s bill, effective July 2012.

If approved, the monthly bill for a residential Standard Offer Service customer using 1,000kWh a month will increase by $7.29 per month.

The impact on commercial and industrial customers will vary by usage, the company said.

Delmarva Power, a unit of Pepco Holdings, provides energy to nearly 500,000 electric delivery customers in Delaware and Maryland, and over 122,000 natural gas delivery customers in northern Delaware.
