Delek Belron is said to be paying GBP375 million ($738 million) for the company that owns the 29 Roadchef-branded service stations. According to Reuters, Delek Belron told the Tel Aviv stock exchange that GBP216 million of the sum is debt that the UK firm owes.
Reuters reported that the British company that previously owned the service stations is one of the top three players in the UK motorway service area (MSA) segment, with 86 service stations along UK motorways. These operations amount to a 23% stake in the UK MSA market.
According to Reuters, the Delek Belon subsidiary secured a GBP112.5 million long-term loan in order to make the purchase. The subsidiary is 75% owned by Delek Belron and 25% owned by Delek Petroleum.
