The UK government has given consent for the construction of two combined heat and power (CHP) plants, one at Huddersfield and the second at Macclesfield, by Dalkia Utilities Services.
The two gas fired stations will supply an AstraZeneca facility and Macclesfield and Zeneca Agrochemicals at Huddersfield with heat and electricity. The Huddersfield station will have a generating capacity of 20 MW while the Macclesfield plant will have a capacity of 13 MW.
