Presently the company, through three generators, is producing 930MW of power. The Dabhol power plant is expected to generate 1940MW of power.

According to GE, GT 1 B will be available for service from December 2009 with an additional capacity of 310MW power, GT 2 A in February 2010 with additional capacity of 310MW and GT 3 A in March 2010 with an enhanced capacity of 310MW.

According to the contract between GE and Ratnagiri gas project, GE would supply spare parts for the Dabhol project and repair the same when required for their plants abroad. GE has also guaranteed for the repair and maintenance of the equipment at the project. The contract has a provision to extend the eight-year agreement to 16 years, at the consent of both the parties. GE has also guaranteed 87% plant load factor.

According to the contract, GE would create a direct control and diagnosis system that would be connected to GE’s central system in the US.
