The Czech government has finalised its proposed allocations of carbon dioxide emissions rights for its 350 individual industrial sites.
Of three scenarios examined, the government has apparently opted a middle road approach that will favour the chemicals and refinery industries.
However, the energy sector also benefits such that electricity utility CEZ will receive some 36.9 million allowances or about a third of the country’s total allowances.
