The company intends to drill three wells from Rhino pad, with a specified measured depth of around 5200 ft and vertical depths of about 2150 ft.
Cunningham plans to target oil in the Big Injun Sand formation in three wells situated in the Union District, while the company will deploy its Speedstar 185 drilling rig to drill the rigs.
Cunningham Energy Ryan Cunningham said the company intends to be involved in horizontal oil development in West Virginia.
"We believe that the future of West Virginia shallow oil and gas development is horizontal drilling and completion," Cunningham added.
The company plans to spud first horizontal Rhino well in December 2013, while it is about to complete a five well shallow vertical drilling programme in the immediate area.
