Power technology company Cummins has announced that Tony Satterthwaite has been promoted to president of Cummins Power Generation effective immediately, succeeding Tom Linebarger, who was named president and COO of Cummins Inc. Mr Satterthwaite has been vice president of the company's generator set business since 2003.

Mr Satterthwaite has 14 years of international experience, living abroad in the UK and in Singapore. He ran the Southeast Asia region and led Cummins Power Generation’s business in Asia Pacific.

He was named managing director of Cummins Power Generation’s operations in Ramsgate, England, in 1999, and was promoted to vice president in 2001.

Before joining Cummins in 1988, Mr Satterthwaite was a general field engineer for oilfield services major Schlumberger.
