The company is providing the drilling services on the Opal Sinai-1 well, located in the Rommana concession in Egypt’s North Sinai region, as a part of a two firm plus one optional well contract.
According to Crosco, the drilling services are being provided with Crosco 2000 HP rig Emsco-605 (Emsco C-2II).
Crosco president Igor Vrban said the commencement of drilling activities in Egypt signals recommencement of the company’s drilling activities in North Africa.
"Crosco is actively preparing additional rigs in Egypt and is working to quickly return to work with three Crosco drilling rigs based in Libya," Vrban said.
Crosco is an integrated onshore and offshore drilling and well services contractor.
