Covering 220 miles from offshore Gulf of Mexico to Krotz Springs, the acquired assets include 105 miles of offshore pipeline and 115 miles of onshore pipeline, three break out tanks and pumping stations.

With this acquisition, Crimson will be able to expand the reach of its resources as well as strengthen capabilities to transport crude oil in the region.

Crimson Gulf president Larry Alexander said: "Crimson Gulf will continue to identify the right investment opportunities to support our expansion efforts and provide attractive transportation options for crude oil customers in South Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico."

The company owns and operates pipelines network of more than 800 miles, including nine pipeline systems which serve approximately 100 offshore oil platforms and production sites.
