US-based Crimson Exploration has commenced production at the rate of 859Boepd or 761 barrels of oil in the Beeler #2H well at Dimmit County in Texas, US.

The well, which is targeting the Buda formation, has produced 56 barrels of natural gas liquids and 253 thousand cubic feet of natural gas on a 25/64th choke.

Beeler #2H well has been drilled to a total measured depth of 11,013ft, which includes 3,700 foot lateral and completed open hole, without fracture stimulation.

The well is situated in the company’s Booth-Tortuga Area, where the firm currently has about 10,140 gross acres prospective for the Buda formation.

Crimson Exploration president and CEO Allan D Keel said the company has completed the first Buda oil well in Dimmit County.

"We currently plan to begin a delineation effort of this discovery and plan to spud our second Buda well in mid-July," Keel added.
