The 124-acre farm contains 44,280 single-axis tracking photovoltaic (PV) panels that generate 10.6MW electricity.
The two partners had earlier this year completed Centennial Solar Farms 1 & 2 with a combined capacity of 20MW.
CPS Energy executive vice president and chief sustainability officer Cris Eugster said that the projects help further diversify the company’s portfolio and strengthen its peak demand generation capability.
"Combined with our first launch into solar energy two years ago, our customers are now benefitting from roughly 45 megawatts of affordable clean energy," added Eugster.
CPS Energy is a municipally owned natural gas & electric utility and will buy the energy produced at the farms at fixed energy rate from SunEdison as per a 25-years power purchase agreement.
