NEVADA POWER COMPANY attorneys have filed a court order to force the Colorado River Commission to stop restricting use of records on various power purchases and sales made over the last several years.

The Colorado River Commission provides hydroelectric power from Hoover dam to southern Nevada government agencies and Nevada Power. It has also made wholesale power purchases on the market for local governments in recent years.

The river commission was among approximately 25 entities the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission named as part of its continuing investigation of Enron Corp, but FERC has not accused it of any wrongdoing.
