This installation marks the second alternative-powered charging station in Hawaii, with the first, a wind-turbine station located on Maui at Maui Electric Company used for charging MECO owned EVs. Coulomb’s Hawaii-based distributor WindChargeUSA installed and will maintain the Honolulu charging station, which is free to the public. The network of electric vehicle charging stations is accessible to all plug-in drivers.
