The residents of the complex can have their EVs recharged at the ChargePoint stations. All plug-in drivers can have access to the ChargePoint network of EV charging stations by making a call to the 24/7 number on each charging station, or signing up for a ChargePoint Network monthly access plan and obtaining a ChargePass smart card.

ChargePoint Network provides information on charging status by SMS text or email notification, location of unoccupied charging stations via smart phones and facilitates authenticated access, authorized energizing, smart grid integration for utility load management with future V2G capabilities and a ChargePoint iPhone App.

The Aspira apartment, a 37-story 325 home apartment building, which is a Four-Star Certified Built Green provides other amenities including building-wide recycling, Energy Star appliances and drought resistant landscaping.

Richard Lowenthal, CEO of Coulomb Technologies, said: “The Emerald City is a little greener with the introduction of its first ChargePoint networked charging stations.

“Apartment owners and dwellers across the country will look to Aspira as a model for EV drivers. To be able to charge your vehicle when you are at home or sleeping is a significant benefit and will attract eco-conscious drivers.”
