Cooper Power Systems, Inc. (Cooper Power Systems), a division of Cooper Industries, Ltd. (Cooper Industries), has been selected by EnergyUnited Electric Membership Corporation (EnergyUnited). Cooper Power Systems will deploy its Cannon power line carrier (PLC) advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) network throughout the EnergyUnited’s diverse service territory. Deployment of the system will begin immediately and will be completed over the next three years.

The infrastructure and its over 120,000 electric endpoints stretched across the 19 North Carolina counties served by EnergyUnited will be designed to provide AMI, Demand Response, and Smart Grid functionality.
