The new self-powered IWW treatment complex, which will be located at SSI’s waste oil treatment facility in South Boston, Virginia, will make use of Converted Organics’ LM-HT Concentrator technology for the evaporation and zero-liquid-discharge of IWW.

Converted Organics’ wastewater concentrator will be powered by the heat generated from bio-diesel or natural gas-fueled engines, which in addition to the recovered waste oil and fuels will be used to run SSI’s oil treatment equipment.

Once the LM-HT Concentrator technology is installed at the SSI facility, Converted Organics plans to apply for carbon credits and government grants, based on the technology’s ability to reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption through its use of waste heat and renewable energy as thermal fuel.
