Constellation Energy has commenced installation of a 5.38MW photovoltaic solar panels at the Toys"R"Us distribution center in New Jersey, US.

The rooftop installation will occupy an 869,294ft2 area and is estimated to generate 6,362MWh of electricity for the facility.

United Solar will supply the 37,000 ultra lightweight UNI-SOLAR brand photovoltaic solar panels to be installed at the distribution center.

Constellation Energy will own and maintain the system and will supply power to the facility under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

The rooftop system is in line with requirements set by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, New Jersey Highlands Council and Mount Olive Township. 

The installation is scheduled to be complete this year.

US based retailer of toy and juvenile products, Toys"R"Us also plans to incorporate energy efficient features into its other stores in various locations.
