The system will comprise of 381,000 First Solar thin film PV panels, ground-mounted at multiple sites near the city of Sacramento.

Constellation Energy will own and operate the power project, which is anticipated to be operational by the end of this year.

Constellation Energy has signed ten 20-year power purchase agreements with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District to sell the electricity generated from the facility.

The transaction has been arranged by US-based Smart Energy Capital.
