Upon completion, the Grand Inga hydropower project will have a generating capacity of approximately 4,000MW.
The power project is said to have the potential to change the African energy sector and help Africa meet rising energy demands.
The MoU will allow South Africa’s power utility Eskom and Congo’s Societe Nationale d’Électricite to enter into an agreement which will facilitate the execution of the hydropower project.
