As per the terms of the agreement, Concord’s renewable unit Concord Green Energy will take over the projects located in Chesterville, Pefferlaw, Springwater, Sudbury and Wyebridge, Ontario. The projects are scheduled to begin construction during 2013 and 2014.
Canadian Solar, meanwhile, will provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the construction of the projects, and thereafter extend operations and maintenance services.
The company will supply about 236,000 Canadian Solar CS6X high-performance modules for the projects.

Following the commencement of operations in 2014, the five solar projects are estimated to have production capacity enough to power 8,713 homes. Power output from the projects will be procured by Ontario Power Authority through 20-year contracts.
