Under the agreement, Comverge will provide a turnkey implementation program for demand response services including load curtailment opportunity identification, program education, registration, notification, compliance, settlement functions and, where applicable, metering and integration within PJM Interconnection. Comverge began the pilot program with four participating commonwealth facilities in the summer of 2009. Should this program be deemed successful, all Pennsylvania government buildings, including hospitals, educational and correctional facilities, will have the opportunity to participate in the various demand response programs offered by PJM through this partnership between Comverge and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
