The company is already permitted for its Lucerne starter-mine operation under a previous mining permit in the county.
Comstock Mining president and CEO Corrado De Gasperis said that the new permit enables expanded drilling, primarily in the broader Lucerne Resource Area, which is currently the company’s largest target area.
The company also said it has submitted a separate drilling Plan of Operation permit request to the Nevada Department of Environmental Protection for expanded exploration drilling of its mining properties in Lyon County.
