The NeuStream technology will remove sulfur dioxide from the emissions of the Colorado Springs Utilities’ coal-fired plant.
Colorado Springs Utilities board chairman Scott Hente said NeuStream will be installed at lower cost than traditional scrubbing technology and will require less operating and maintenance expenditures.
The project work is expected to begin in next month and the completion is scheduled for 2014.
US-based NSG is an advanced technology company focused on commercializing gas-liquid contractor systems for emissions control and other applications.
Other potential market areas for NSG products include chemical production, pharmaceuticals, energy production, water purification and oil refining.
