Colfax, a provider of fluid-handling services for critical applications, has won a contract worth E1 million to supply pumping systems to Brunei Shell Petroleum.

According to Colfax, four Houttuin twin-screw pumps and five VFD control panels included in the purchase would facilitate processing of oily water at Brunei Shell Petroleum’s Seria crude oil terminal oil exporting facility.

Brunei Shell Petroleum has said that the pumps will arrive on site by August 2009, and plant operations are expected to start at the end of 2009.

Michael Dwyer, senior vice president and general manager of Colfax Asia Pacific, said: “This is a good sale for Colfax in Brunei. Phase-3 of the Brunei Shell Petroleum Seria project will begin next year and Colfax is well positioned to expand supply.”
