Vele project has earlier received NOMR and environmental management program approval from the Department of Mineral Resources.
CoAL is expecting to complete the construction phase at Vele project within six to nine months from the date of restart and will increase its initial production to one million tonnes per annum.
CoAL CEO John Wallington said this development is a significant step towards the re-opening of the mine.
