The target zones of the well are volcanic gas reservoirs, featuring in thick gas-bearing formations, but low permeability and poor fracture opening, which led to unfavorable gas production by using conventional fracturing methods.
On June 17, 2009 and during June 24- 26, 2009 staged fracturing was applied to the open hole in order to effectively control fracture height and length, expand gas outlet area, and finally increase gas production of the well.
