Steiner has given a valuable service to the company, especially in development of the company’s international markets. As the company continues its evolution towards the focused execution and growth with a critical focus on Americas, Asmussen’s background and prior experience positions him well to lead the company into this next phase of commercialization.
At Mirror Controls, Asmussen’s primary focus was driving the global growth strategies, and during this time he helped significantly increase the sales. In 2007, he led the divestiture of Mirror Controls and became vice president of sales and marketing for Mirror Controls International. In addition to assisting in establishment of new organizational structures, his wide scope of responsibilities included P&L accountability, strategic market planning, and leadership of global sales and marketing organization. Between 2002 and 2005, he was strategy manager for the Specialty Controls Division of Eaton Automotive. Between 2000 and 2002, he served as customer manager for all the North American sales initiatives with Ford Motor Company. He holds M.B.A. and Bachelor of Science degrees from the Michigan State University.
