New York, US-based Citibank and Kerala, India-based South Indian Bank have announced a partnership agreement through which they will launch a co-branded South Indian Bank Citibank Visa credit card.

According to the companies, the SIB Citibank card, which will be launched in association with Visa International, is packed with innovative features and value propositions.

In addition to regular features, the card offers 0% fuel surcharge at Indian Oil petrol stations, a 24-hour internet banking facility, zero lost card liability and Visa Money transfers. Customers will also have the option of paying card dues through electronic clearing systems at zero cost.

Mr Ramachandran, business manager of cards at Citibank India, said: This launch marks another milestone in our continuing endeavor to offer unique value propositions to our customers by developing products and solutions that best address their much felt needs.

Mr M. Vasan, chief general manager of the South Indian Bank, added: With the signing of this agreement with Citibank, the bank has taken another major step to meet the diverse financial needs of its customers, all under one roof.
