Chinese solar power products manufacturer JA Solar has established a footprint in Brazil by launching a new subsidiary JA Solar Brazil.
The Brazilian subsidiary’s office is planned to begin operations early next month.
Its parent, JA Solar had been operating in Brazil since 2015. It claims to have grown significantly in the Distributed Generation (DG) market, which it says needs local support for customers' planning, logistics and global trade operations.
By establishing JA Solar Brazil, the Chinese firm says that it would be in a position to provide customers with logistics support and customized services in a timely manner, and thereby further seizing incremental business opportunities in the country.
Apart from that, the Brazil office will look to consolidate partnerships with local and international energy companies such as Engie, Faro Energy, Enel and Multi Aquecimento.
JA Solar chairman and CEO Baofang Jin said: "The launch of JA Solar Brazil will enhance our ability to serve our customers, strengthen our strategic partnerships in the region, and further increase brand awareness in Brazil as well as in the Latin American market.
“Our high-performance solar modules are well-recognized in the industry. We look forward to leveraging our strong reputation to introduce more high-quality products to our Latin American customers, which will help them to optimize their return on investment."
The new office will also enable support for marketing activities, promote the latest technologies of JA Solar while developing and handling sales activities in Brazil.
The Shanghai-based JA Solar stated that it is actively looking to expand its footprint in the Latin American market which it says has strong growth potential. In March, the Chinese solar development company established a new subsidiary in Mexico dubbed as JA Solar Mexico.
